Bauthe

Ethics and Compliance

Bauthe is built on trust: the trust of our clients, of our teams, of the brands we represent and of the communities in which we operate. Preserving this trust requires that we conduct our business with integrity, honesty and respect, in compliance with the law and with the highest ethical standards. This page sets out the principles that guide our conduct and that we expect from everyone who works with us.

Bauthe complies with the laws and regulations applicable to its activities in every place where it operates, including those relating to consumer protection, product safety, competition, data protection, employment, taxation and international trade. Where our own standards are more demanding than the law, we apply our own standards.

Every product sold by Bauthe is authentic. We purchase exclusively from brands and their authorised distributors, we never knowingly sell counterfeit, diverted or expired products, and we cooperate with brands and authorities to combat counterfeiting. Our clients can shop with complete confidence in the origin and quality of everything we offer.

Bauthe does not tolerate corruption in any form. Our employees and partners may not offer, promise, give, request or accept any bribe, payment or undue advantage, directly or through an intermediary, in order to obtain or retain business or any improper advantage. Gifts and hospitality may only be offered or received where they are modest, occasional, transparent and appropriate. We are equally committed to preventing money laundering, fraud and conflicts of interest.

Bauthe competes fairly and honestly. We do not enter into agreements with competitors to fix prices or share markets, we do not make misleading claims about our products or those of others, and we ensure that the descriptions, prices and promotions presented to our clients are accurate and clear.

We respect human rights and the dignity of every person. Bauthe prohibits forced labour, child labour and human trafficking in its operations and expects its suppliers and partners to do the same throughout their supply chains. We expect our partners to provide safe and healthy working conditions, fair wages and working hours, and to respect freedom of association. Bauthe reserves the right to end any relationship with a partner that fails to meet these standards.

Bauthe is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination, harassment and retaliation, where every person is treated with respect and has equal opportunities, regardless of origin, ethnicity, colour, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other protected characteristic. Diversity is a source of creativity and richness, and we strive to reflect it in our teams, our selection and our communication.

Bauthe protects the personal information of its clients, employees and partners, as described in our Privacy Notice, and safeguards the confidential information entrusted to it. We use our assets and resources responsibly and protect them against loss, theft and misuse.

In our communication, Bauthe promotes an inclusive and authentic vision of beauty. We are careful not to make claims about our products that cannot be substantiated, and we take particular care when addressing young audiences.

Bauthe encourages anyone who has a concern about conduct that may be contrary to the law or to these principles to report it in good faith. Reports may be made confidentially by email at hello@bauthe.com or by telephone at + (330) 324-6442, Monday to Saturday, and will be handled with discretion, impartiality and diligence. Bauthe will not tolerate any form of retaliation against a person who raises a concern in good faith.
